Just an update - I'd not received a shipping notification email and with the promise of "This item shipped within 48 hours" on each item purchased, I found that a little odd.

I called them up with my order number. It turns out neither the front nor rear rims were in stock. Their driver is scheduled to bring the wheels in tonight, "so they should be mounted, balanced and shipped out tonight, sir."

California to Texas ground shipping (the only option)....I'm thinking at least 3 days. Looking at Friday now at the earliest.

I HATE WAITING!!!

Probably because you ordered on a saturday and sunday is not a business day for them. Although monday is a business day and it should have shipped yesterday or today. Yea should be a few days from CA to TX if you are in a big city.

Wednesday AM - Again, not having received a shipping notice, I called the vendor, inquiring as to the status of my order. Again, I was told that the "driver is scheduled to bring the wheels in tonight, so they should be mounted, balanced and shipped out tonight, sir." Now it's Thursday morning - no shipping notice. SO I called and spoke with the store manager. I just got the assurance from him that the wheels had to be picked up from the manufacturer YESTERDAY, were mounted and balanced, and would be shipped today.

I PM'd you the information, but you might want to hold off until you see if I actually receive these wheels, and what their condition is. Thus far, the vendor's website banner shipping-speed-claims and reality are a little in conflict. Had their order page let me know the wheels were out of stock and could not be expedited, expectations would have been lowered, etc.

The store manager said that with UPS and FedEx ground shipping, Saturday is not a business day - so I'm looking at today, Friday and Monday for shipping - with an arrival date of Tuesday. Bummer. The thing that makes it a real bummer is that there is a badly bent wheel on there right now, so I really can't drive my SC until these finally arrive. I'll let ya know.

I finally got FedEx shipping and tracking notices last night. They're now in transit.
ETA: Tuesday.

I'm betting SportMax Racing wheels work just fine for 90% of the buying public. And I bet they'll work fine for me long enough to get the engine and suspension systems overhauled and buttoned down. Then I can take all the time in the world shopping for wheels that even CL's biggest "wheel snobs" would approve of. I'm betting the styles are completely different by then. Staggered, with fat lips will be "soooooooooo yesterday." *lol*
