I was thinking about doing something with the wood grain but I was afraid of over exposing the picture. I'm trying to plan that out right now. It will probly remain just the center console. Once my car is finished and ready for some track events the entire picture may be muralled* on the hood to tie in with the center console. It is undecided as of yet.
Thanks guys.
ps. on a project like this patients was key. I took the face plates off everything. then meticulously planned out the lay out using two different actual reprints of the original art work. applied with spray on adhesive. trimmed with three exacto knives to make sure they shaved down the curves correctly and then made sure everything went back together correctly. the middle stages involved a lot of eyeballing and measuring to make sure the art flowed from trim piece to trim piece correctly. All in all i think i paid about $100 for this thanks to madd cheap reprints via ebay. It honestly came out better than I thought
