taking out wood grain trim

Does anyone know how to take out the wood grain trim on a sc?? I really don't like it, so I was wondering how hard it is.

Also, what color you guys think I should pain the wood grain? I have a 92 SC black with tan interior

I kinda figured that I would be sent there.

Searching didn't really yield anything for me....considering mine is a 92, and I don't have an airbag, if anyone can chime in, I'd greatly appreciate it.
