Mark,
Great job! I got to get me a set of these! Nice write up! Makes it look easy, Still not comfortable with that whole tails in the oven deal.

Thanks for the kind words all around. It is really appreciated.

-----------------------------------------

A couple words:

My own tails are cleared 95-96 tails.

A couple months back, I had the cleared 96 tails and the coveted 97+ tails in my possession at the same time. I chose to resell the 97+ tails and keep the cleared 96 tails because I liked them better.

I did not like the contrast of the amber piece on the 97+ tails nor did I like the uniformly curved lens. The 95/96 Cleared tails were less busy and the indented center seam in the lens seems to flow better with the car (in my opinion).

I have no problems with the seal of the silicone or the adhesion of the superglue. I have, however, smoked out the lens. After having smoked my side markers, blacked out the headlight inner housing, tinted the car, and blacked out the chrome window trim, the tail smoke job only made sense.

Nevertheless, short of doing a full "black out" on your SC, the 95-96 Cleared Tails look as good as anything out there on our cars (in my opinion).

-------------------------------

Here is a photo I took of my car to show the average fitment of the 19" wheels I used to have. It will work to show off the 95/96 Cleared Tails for those looking for a shot of them on the vehicle.
