Lightbulb Carbon Fiber Hood

Does anyone have any interest in a carbon fiber hood? While inquiring about a cat-back exhaust for my car today, my parts guy mentioned that he would have available, at the beginning of April, a carbon fiber hood available for the SC. I have dealt with the guy for about a year and helped me get many of the parts I used to build up my RX-7. I am in the process of getting prices (awaiting an email) and I will post the price when he gets back to me.

I may be interested depending on price and if I still have some money around. My hood has plenty of rockchips and paint faded areas. Is it going to be a normal hood? It would be pretty good if the hood was made with some kind of hot air extractor (see EVO7 hood, etc).

I promise to keep you guys posted, I am just waiting back to hear the pricing info. He is also hooking me up with a JIC twin bullet exhaust for $540. His bro lives in Japan and can get stuff pretty cheap.

How about a carbon fiber hood with enough room to put a supercharger under it for the Sc4?

Guys:
www.importtoys.com is listing some new interesting Lexus SC400 parts. He has some kevlar front cross strut braces and if memory serves, a carbon fibre hood. He mentioned to me that he will be adding alot of new parts for the SC soon. I do not know what they are. Send him an email for prices and what he has got. I have no interest in that firm other than recently noting that he was listing some new stuff. BTW, his price for the cold air MAF adapter is the best I have seen. I have his now in hand. A real nice unit fully cast and clean and polished. Garnet92 turned me on to him. He ships quick and packs swell.

That's pretty decent I think. Got any info such as Pictures, weight difference between fiber hood vs. factory hood, etc?

Thanks,

Peter~

JohnnySC,

Is this a cat-back exhaust? What does it include? I could be interested in one myself.

Thanks,

Chris K.
