The JZZ30 might be what I need, but I'll clarify a little bit more just to be sure. I'm asking the name of the platform that the SC300/400 was based upon. The platform is the shared set of characteristics shared by vehicles (For example, the Ford Windstar, Ford Taurus, and Mercury Sable shared the same platform- the Ford D186 Platform- for many years.)
Does that clear things up, or did I just make it more complicated? Bear with me, I'm a novice when it comes to cars- I just need this information for some college research.

JZZ30 was the SC300 and UZZ30 was the SC400. The first two letters are the engine family. The SC300 had a 2JZ-GE engine in it. The SC400 had a 1UZ-FE engine in it. The next two letters are the chassis code. Both cars on the Z3 chassis. Lastly, the final digit was the variation on that chassis. Both the SC models were of the Z3-0 chassis variation. Some Soarers in Japan and Australia were on the Z3-1 and Z3-2. They looked essentially identical, but had a couple intricasies that were different about the entire car.
As another example, the MX83 Toyota Cressida and MX81 Toyota Chaser shared the same engine (M family) and chassis (X8). There were only slight variations between the two models. Thus, the different last letter.
Maybe this helps...
