Good job!

If that starts peeling or something I used spray paint to red mine out.

I always loved the complete red tails and I have a second pair waiting to be modded. But I am worried about inspection.......How does this affect the amber turn signal?? I would guess it is now more red, but isn't the turn signal required to be amber? How have you guys that have done this been affected? ie Police/Inspection

When you signal it's amber. At least mine was.

By any chance, do you have a pic with the signal on? I want to see how it looks.

Mark,

Turn signals can be amber or red. They cannot be any color aside from those 2.

When I sprayed my tails, the amber turn signal became a red turn signal. I inquired about it at inspection, and the light emitted from a rear turn signal must be either red or amber, and the fascia on the tail light must be clear, red, or amber. Just think of the SUVs that use their tail lights to double as turn signals, those are red signals as well and they are factory. You won't have a problem with inspection if your turn signal blinks red instead of amber.

American Cars use red tail lights for turn signals while foreign cars use amber lights for tails, at least that is how it used to be..

looks good, won't it peel??

I also did this mod to my other cars (RSX, MR2 and Corolla) and they haven't peeled yet. Its not permanent but it'll be there for a long time.
