That is brutal!
Did the FD investigate the cause? Fires don't start all on their own. I would contact them and ask for a copy of the captain's report that was filed. Wonder if there are any clues in there as to what happened.

This is one of the craziest things I've seen here on CL. I'm sed to seeing this one the RX7 forum but never on here before. What engine mods did you have done? I hope you find out what happen. I'm not gonna lie, I would cry if I came home and found my SC like that.

Unfortunately, when I insured the car, it was just meant to be a weekend car. I didn't even bother to insure full coverage especially due to my SR22cause I rarely drive this car but I guess this is a lesson to be learned. Just gotta settle with the total loss.
