I have a 93 sc400, aldo my remote keyless entry works fine but does'nt make any audible sound. My friend has a 95 sc400 that gives an audible signal. He has the same key's than I do. I was told by a guy that the sound of the signal could be adjusted, is it true?don't think so.. I was also told there's a switch under the steering that turns it on/off?true? help me out.

My 92 doesnt either. I think that the audible signal was introduced later.

Dealers at one time offer to add audio for $99 and that was like 7-8 years ago.

My '92 SC4 beeps when you lock or unlock - or, at least it used to - it still beeps when you lock, but the unlock beep has died. It just kinda petered out??? So, yes - even the "old" SC's had an audible signal.

No, I bought the car as a certified car with 7,000 mi on it in November of 1992 - so, technically no -but I've had the car since then - still love her! Sitting outside the garage for the first time until I get it sold - sob sob. But do love the power of the GS!

Hmm. I was thinking that the original may have added audio but you bought the car at 7000 mi. So i am not sure about that theory now.
