Default Just got my car painted Flint Mica. I need opinions.

Just picked up my car today from a friend who painted it. My car was originally dark green, and I had it painted Flint Mica. From what I've read on the boards, flint mica has a greenish or bluish tint to it.

Although I haven't seen it on a bright day yet, I can't help to wonder if the car has a green hue to it. What do you guys think? Could it be possible that the original green paint is coming through (meaning that he didn't sand properly?) Or is this just how flint mica is supposed to look?

Thanks for any opinions.

in the first shot, i definitely see green. But not sure if it's from the foreground reflecting off of the car's side.

give it a month to dry and THEN see what it looks like. All my cars have changed color after the paint dried solid.

No, that should be the paint you're seeing. The foreground is a white garage door.

So before the paint dried a month later, the original paint came through and was visible?

Do you guys have any experience with flint mica? I've only seen pictures and glances on the streets. I liked the way it looked from far away, but never really took an up close look. I'm just hoping that the paint has a greenish tint to it. Should I be complaining to my buddy?

There's no such thing as paint coming through. You've been playing with spray paint too long.

let it dry, it has a lot of color mixed into it that needs to cure.

i suggest your buddy fix the color to what you wanted, if the shade you have is what you wanted than keep it. the paintjob itself looks good though

OLT is the man around here

it does look a lil off from the 4 pictures the other dude posted, but if i were you i would take OLT's advice

jus chill for a month and keep it in the back of your mind and if you still aren't happy

then let the *****ing commence towards your buddy

gotta wait a whole month... I feel like a three year old staring at a gift wrapped bicycle, waiting for x-mas.
