Have them total it then buy it back. Some people don't care about salvage title as long as it drives good and looks good.

Right on Western, in front of Toyota HQ too. Someone, somewhere on ClubLexus is getting off on this Lexus on Lexus action.

I'm definitely keeping her and she is totally fixable. I've already ordered some suspension parts to at least get her drivable again. There is no frame damage, so there is no reason why I wouldnt keep her.

Yeah the wald kit is very nice...unfortunately, out of my price range right now and I like the original sleek nose with no grill :B

I'm going to tow the car to my parents house and start disassembling the suspension this weekend. Time to get intimate with the LCAs

YES, both being 5 speed and having very expensive service work WILL bring the value up. You are going to have to fight for it, but it's worth it. Someone totaled my Del Sol last year. It was parked in the street and someone clipped it, and sent it flying into a telephone pole. It crushed like a tin can.

Car was for sale, and worth about $3500. Their insurance company tried to offer me $1600, and printed me out a list of BS comparables. I called each of them and found out a whole list of major problems with the "similar cars". They gave me another lowball offer of like $2200. I fought with them about that, and the fact that it had a lot of aftermarket parts. I printed out each of the parts on a retailers website, and gave them to the company. I told them that I honestly didnt pay that much for each part, and they wrote down what I told them I paid. The next offer they gave me was $4500 I got $1000 more than I was asking to sell the car for.

The reason you can get money like this if you're willing to fight for it is since nobody else does. (As you can probably tell by the fact that everyoen else says it's impossible). The one thing you CAN'T say is that you're going to call a lawyer, because at that point they can no longer negotiate with you personally.

That car is VERY salvagable, and I highly doubt there would be any change in drivability if fixed properly, you should definatley buy it back and fix it! If not, definately keep it in the ClubLexus family.
