voltage issues

Default voltage issues

never saw this before but my cluster lights dim out when i step on the brakes .anybody ever had this issue before? is there a easy fix for it ?

If you think that's bad, mine used to completely restart the entire car. EVERYTHING shut off (electrically) then booted back up.
I searched and yup, bad ground as well. Happy fixing!

I searched and yup, bad ground as well. Happy fixing!
same with mine when it did happen. Simple regrounding fixed the problem.

just where the cluster is ? i really hope its just that, or do i have to cheack the whole body harness?

If I quote it, will it sink in the second time? just add the word "major" to ground points.

well it wasent the ground .some water got in the tailight from a litle crack in the back or it and rusted out all the light sockets some wd40 and new bulbs did the trick looking at the car shown that the owner was very destructive towards it .it has a new owner now .so it will be under some serious tlc thanks for the info though guys

thats called short to ground, still ground

yea it was so rusty i had to break every light soak it with wd40 then take a pliers and yank it out but it was grouding so it was a ground issue

Check to see if your headlights dim too when something electric is turned on (brake lights, headlights, blinkers etc).

Also invest in a Multimeter, these can help you troubleshoot any circuit, and they are pretty cheap now. Bought one for my son @ Sears for $11, great learning tool.
