TIA
If the wheel is really off a 01 GS, you might luck out and have a single stage airbag because 01 is when Lexus started with the 2 stage airbags.

For the cruise control, if it doesn't plug in, just swap your cruise control from your original wheel.

To add to the fun there are 3 different connectors that came on the single-stage airbag modules.

I used the small diameter airbag from a '00 Celica and it had a different plug so I used a tool to remove the 1992 airbag pigtail from my original airbag and transferred it onto the Celica bag. It worked fine on the 1992 I have but I have an issue with it in the 1996 model.

I just transferred this wheel/airbag assembly from my 1992 SC400 onto my "new-to-me" 1996 SC400 and this time I have an airbag check-light on my dash. It's an OBD2 car so I'm hoping I can clear it with the scanner tool...

BTW - SAFETY TIP - Unhook your battery and leave it unhooked for at least 30 minutes before attempting to remove an airbag!

so I cut off and splice the old airbag plug??

iam doing a 00 celica bag/wheel into a 1994 sc400

I've read through this whole thread and I don't think once it was asked whether any of these potential replacement wheels have a smaller diameter than the stock SC steering wheels.
Does anyone know if the '00 IS, GS, ES, or RX wheels are smaller in diameter than our enormous SC ones? I have the 3 spoke SC wheel, but like the look of all of these better, just so far as they are a little bit smaller with thicker grip.

my 95 sc400 wheel is 15 3/8" from east to west. the is200 wheel that is on there now is 14 3/8" from east to west. it feels so much better when driving

I'm 99% certain that all wheels after the 3 spoke change up are smaller in diameter and thicker in grip.
