Agreed....it really depends on what the goal of the car is....some of the VIP styled SC's look very good...but personally I am more geared toward performance oriented with my build...All go no show....FTW!!!!

I prefer a combo of the power/performance and a "good look". My ride is an extension of me. I think your car says a lot about u.

im definitely going for all sass. Right now the interior is pretty nice and thats cool and all but i like punching that little button under the pedal and watching over-compensting mustangs fade into the background. Custom exhaust, headers, transgo shift kit, dragon tc , cams, intake, and a stroker kit and a vortech coming soon!

I want mine to be a comfy, daily driving car and "easy" to the eye to look at.

Lexus already took care of "easy" to the eyes part with the design.

96 SC 400 : I'm restoring my stock suspension for ride purpose. (Bad Back) No drop/No drift. Bringing mechanicals up to par.I like my creature comforts just the way they are. (New seat covers when time & money allow) GF chip. No emissions where I live so cats will go & exhaust cleaned up. Going to do some personal mild body mods & paint. This car is being built for one last cannonball run crosscountry as I did in the 70's with my 68 Javelin (Twice) This car is a gift to myself for battling cancer last 3 yrs & kicking its butt. So luxury & performance with a little style is my vote. Gotta Luv Em!

Default Refined savagery

I am going for what I think is a completely unique build. It will take a few years so don't expect to see pictures or real results in a few weeks. First of all I am fixing and upgrading all the broken and messed up things on this car. I don't have much left as of right now. It will be repainted it's OEM color and will have a refined attitude on the outside with f-sport exhaust, either aftermarket rims or powder coated OEMs, hopefully a turbo and upgraded ECM, so it will be a nice OEM luxury car with hidden details and some hints that it isn't the classy old girl it should be. Oh and did I mention that essentially I plan on it being a "SC300 F-Sport"? That my friends is my goal.

I have a 1995 SC400 that has only coilovers and an aftermarket radio from the previous owner. Apart from that, I only installed a K&N Air Filter (it wasn't even an intake) and a rear window spoiler. This is my very first car, I am currently a student working a part time job, and I daily drive the car. Now, I am deciding between leaving it just like it is, or if I should go ahead and do some mods. What do you guys think?

Okay, have to confess now (many years later) that once I got the car running again (after the poor mechanical shape my son returned it in) the mod bug took over and I went way past restoring it to classic status.

Was not going for speed but presentation and what I ended up with is very, very far from the out of show room condition.

Default Luxury

my priority is class or "luxury". with an older car it barely feels luxury without having certain options here and there but definitely keeping it classy is key.
So far I haven't been able to do exactly what I'd like but I am modestly lowered, have bbk, Chrome supra TT rims, axle back ebay exhaust and 20mm spacers.

Plans are to get some 18" or 19" shinys to sit on. wood grain RX wheel, wood grain shift ****. Clean double din. and then later focus can switch to saving for a NA-t build with relatively low power range aspirations. (320-350?)

With the exception of lack of fogs, I think the 92 kit is perfect for me
I love both looks, and appreciate very aggressive sporty SC's but wouldn't feel right for mine.
