Sc400 Custom Fiberglass Sub Box Pics Here!!!
http://marcman18.0catch.com/lexus1.html
Here are some pics of the soundsystem I just put in my SC400. The job took about 16hrs to complete. The box is made of scratch from fiberglass and wood. The rear panal was cut and then I added two rear tweaters. To make the install flush I then bought 2 more tweater covers from lexus (same as the front) and melted them into the panal. Let me know if you have any questions or if you live in the Bay Area, CA and want the same job let me know.

AMP
Just so everyone knows there is a 5 channel Class D Kicker amplifier where the stock sub usually resides. I used the sub speaker cover as a vent for the amp. The amp has long screws coming down from the rear deck and nut holders under the amp. I took my engineering degree to the max.

Hey can you send the diagram of the work and materials used. I like how much space you have left in you trunk. I had a box made for my 1993 SC400 and I lost most of my trunk space. What kind of sub did you use?

Basically I took layers and layers of sheet resin and used structual layup resin and basically painted on the strips to take a mold of my trunk. I had to take out the cell phone assembly and shave a bit of the antenna holster. The I used kitty hair (bondo with fiberglass fragments to mold the box. I then had to use an electric sander to mold the box to the moldings of the top part of the trunk. There is a 1 inch piece of wood with the subwoofer opening facing outward to the rest of the trunk. I saved even more space mounting the amplifier where the stock sub used to sit. It breathes right through the speaker cover. Take a look at my website in the first thread to see all the work done to the car.

Don't worry, after you pass 30 ten years is "Hasn't been that long has it?"
I was talking to a 16 yr old guy the other day and showing him the guts on the climate unit from the Ice Blue thread and he was like "Dude I was 9 when you took that picture" and I face palmed myself.
