Couple questions for SC owners
I have a hunch that the people w/ the ghosting problem have SC's that used to have the cell phone package and have had them removed.
If you want to know if your SC had the cell phone package, check for these things. Cell phone antanae on rear windshield. A couple of holes punched out from the bottom of the storage bin under the armrest.
Please reply w/ whether your car
has the cell phone package or has the cell phone package removed
and whether you are experiencing ghosting problems or not.
please indicate what year and type of SC you have.

I checked myself for holes, but only found the usual ones (apologies to Leslie Nielson). No antenna on rear window. It's a '95 SC300. The ghost problem was bad when I got the car, gone when I had the battery replaced, back with a vengance within 3 months, and currently gone with a new negative terminal. My plan is to keep throwing parts at it.

ghost specs.
1993 SC 300 95000 miles, 5 speed.
Uninstalled the cell phone myself very professionally and carefully a few days after I bought it this year with 93500 miles. Cannot recall if this problem happened in the days before or not.
Problem would occur once after driving a few minutes, then build in frequency and then stop for a while.
I cleaned the terminals, added an Optima yellow top battery and a 2.0 farad capacitor.
Problem has not reoccured, but as you see, I have only driven 1500 miles since February.
