Ok I have a 98 SC400 and was curious, so if they sold 69 SC400's in Dec 98 and 1243 sC400's between Jan 98 and Dec 98, this number isn't the true total number of 98 model Sc400's. My 1998 had a 10-97 production and was sold the same month. So I have a 98 that wouldn't be included in that figure and If any 98's didn't get sold unitl 99, I guess the same would be the case. I would still like to know an exact figure of cars made by model if anyone finds out more.

Nice find. Love it. So my car is 1 of 1581.

I find it amusing that the 99 SC300 is .4 second faster to 60, and .2 faster in the 1/4 mile than the 1998 model, though they are the exact same cars.

The 00 SC3, is faster yet.

So anyone know why the 99/00 SC3 are faster than the 98s?

maybe because of this :

"1Performance capacity figures are for comparison only and were obtained
with prototype vehicles..."

or possibly the rim size change from 16 x 6.5 versus 16 x 7.5 ?? (I'm comparing the '98 pdf to the '99 pdf) or maybe different tires. I noticed in '98 3 summer tires were offered compared with 2 in '99... I doubt this could give you .5 sec though ...chock it up to track conditions , etc.
