Default rear tails plug n play?

I have a 93 SC4 and want to know if the 97+ tail lights are plug n play or do i have to do some mods. Thinking about ordering a new pair from the dealer? I think i read somewhere that some modifications are needed in the wiring but i can't find it anymore.

The tails are plug and play, the only modification to the wiring is going to be to eliminate the "hyper-blinking" problem that will result. Hopefully someone will have the wiring procedure for that, if not, there's always search

So basically i have to buy this module to prevent hyper blinking. Other then that the tail light itself, wires and harnesses should go directly in with no other mods. Man,,,,, that module sure is expensive. There's gotta be another way.

Yea it's plug and play but I think the pre 97 had more bulbs or something. If you do a search there are numerous threads covering this and how to fix the hyper blink and dash light problem.

The 92-94 is not plug n play. Unless you get the harnesses, you will have to wire them up. The 97+ has three 194/168 bulbs across the top (parking ); then two brake lights/side (do not remember the #) and one blinker instead of three.

People have told you to search with a friendly attitude in numerous occassions yet you never seem to understand and always ask questions that could be answered with the simplest searches.

Why is that?

Ditto. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it is starting to get extremely irritating with the "searchable" threads that were covered like 5 years ago.

Sorry I've been hurting your eyes. I can give you a little remedy I use to use when I saw something that really irritated me. I looked the other way!!!!!

A search would turn up other solutions to this -- like the method I used that has been working perfectly for over a year and a half. Plus it was free.
