I read on here some where some one replaced their drive belt tensioner and that they got it not from the dealer so they got a better price. THey wanted 235 dollars for the peice . the problem is that it is rattaling and sounds like ***. It still does its job but it is just not a sound a lexus should make. Any ideas where i can find this peice for less than $235.
Thanks Ethan

I'm not sure about driving belt tensioner, but I replaced one for timing belt and I compared stock part to aftermarket one. Same exact thing. Same brand, same quality. Just in case you want to check the price, e-mail this guy. His name is Nghia, and his e-mail - nvthai@netzero.net

Good luck

But you should get the new one. The new one is updated! The old style tensioner has a metal pulley. The new style has a plastic/composite pulley. If you buy a used one you may have the same problem in the future.

Something to think about.
