Default Turbo SC400 in Dec. 05 Super Street Magazine

I searched and do not think this is a repost. There is a beautiful Candy Brandywine SC400 with a T66 in the new Super Street. It was built by a female that has a performance shop. Great looking interior and complete car looks amazing from front to back. Also comes with a preview Option DVD that has some really nice footage from Japan.

This is a T66

I still don't see how she mounted something so big in the car without a picture of the turbo being in any of the pictures. If the turbo were in the car, I'd be able to throw a rock at the car and manage to hit that turbo

Yes, I guess it is Emerald's car which I have never seen until this magazine. As for the Turbo, the artice states that she has a Garrett T66 Turbo on her 1UZFE V8. Of course, these magazines make so many mistakes it might not be. Her horsepower is listed at 425 HP.

Exactly! How do you hide something like that? How would you even go about setting that up as an undermount? Take out the transmission? Mount it in the passenger seat?

Emerald herself has said it was a T66.

I think that the only reason that snail looks big is because its mounted on a little engine.

oh man...those photos are truly depressing...from what I've been somewhat following, she was real big in the drift scene...you would think she would have better fitting wheels...axis

I am not going to speak out against her car, but I will say that after working on my own TT project for many months now, I agree that it is definitely not easy to turbo the V8 due to lack of room. It is not impossible. Many parts do have to be relocated, and there is a lot of plumbing necessary to complete the job. Plus, everything is custom to get this done.

Em could have low mounted the T66, but even that is difficult, about the only place to low mount is where the cats are, and a T66 seems a bit large to fit there. But, I suppose it could be done. I would like to see a pic underneath her car, then we should be able to figure out her design, because the plumbing would have to be there...As you guys mentioned, her pics show no turbo plumbing at all...just the FMIC. Can't even see how the charged air is routed to the intake, unless the exit from the FMIC goes from top back down to bottom, and then back up through the carbon fiber panel she has installed in the airbox area...Hmmmm.. I can't figure it just from the pics. Would love to see more pics. Maybe she rear mounted the turbo???

Anyway, nice ride, and I do like the way she has done the car... But where's that turbo???
