For the City light. Do you think there is a replacement one that is Maybe a different color or a brighter version?

By the way awesome write up on the headlights.

I was wondering if there is any preventitive measures we can take to make sure the outside doesnt yellow up again. I was thinking of maybe tinting them with a really high percent tint, so it would still give uv protection but not dim the lights beam too much.

I'm in the middle of doing this right now. I took them apart about an hour ago. I'm adding an extra step to the process. I have the outside cover soaking in a detergent cleaner overnight. That should remove the yellow tinge they have. Then I'll just polish them before putting it back in.

The lens wasn't dirty at all. I still have that soaking in the detergent overnight as well.

thanks for an exellent write up.

well, the lower temps shouldn't hurt the headlight, but I'd preheat it to minimize the time the headlight can get damaged

yeah defintely preheat the oven .. also don't leave it in there for more then 3 min at a time. otherwise the rubber hosing that is still on the light will start to melt.

I'm going to reglue it with some silicone sealant. Didn't have a chance to pick it up today. Will try to do so tomorrow.

In your wheel wel there is a plastic in fender piece that goes along the whole inner fender. You will have to remove that then there will be like (2) 10mm bolts back there that will need to be removed. Then there should be (1) on the top in plane view that will need to be taken off as well. Then vwalla.. !!!
