It's gravy. two bolts in the fender behind the wheel well splash guard and the obvious top bolts on the headlight. For any other instructions, search and YE shall find

Under the hood, on the top of the assembly, on the side closer to the foglight is a little 10MM screw. Unscrew that. You'll immediately see it when you look at the housing.

Then, you go through the fender to get the other (2) 10MM screws. I just unscrewed the two screws holding the top of the fender liner, and peeled it back. You may need a flashlight to see inside. There are 2 more 10MM screws. They're the only ones that stick right out at you, so you can't miss them.

You will need an extension to reach the bottom two screws. Be careful not the drop them into the wheel well after it's come off. What I did was used the socket wrench to get them just loose enough, then reached my hand inside and unthreaded the rest of it by hand. This prevented the hardware from falling anywhere but into my hand.

Thanks guys! I will do this very soon. I have poor light out put and also a drivers side headlight that thinks its a fish bowl

I see you used Tech Wax for the buffing. Would Meguires car wax be ok too?

Any wax seems to work well, but the tech wax gives it a little better resistance to yellowing it looks like from my use. If you really wanna get technical find some plastic polish, because a lot of people don't know.......... these headlights are not glass.

(really, a lot of people don't know that).

Great work Brian! I think I maydo this soon as I'm growing tired of having nothing done to the car. PS: Still have to send my Nak and Climate unit to you. I paid a while back on a GB but haven't sent them in. And my needles still aren't working because I haven't opened it up to play with it. Hope it's not late to send my stuff in. It's winter so the car may not be driven for a while. Let me know if you still have the order to prove that I had paid.

Is there any way to buy this little light housing or cover that goes inside the headlight?

Mine is melted......

nice writeup! just a quick question about your using wax on the light. I would think you wouldn't use wax to clean the projector for the same reason we wouldn't use wax on our windshields. I guess it doesn't matter as much on the light source, but wouldn't the light refract out in different directions. In any case, i'm sure it'll be 10x better than not cleaning it.

I'm just a history major, haha, so the phsyics guys can chime in on this.

We DO wax our windshields.... you don't? Every car you have ever purchased from a car lot has had it's winshield waxed most likely. It is a detail trick every detailer uses. Before rain-X, there was wax on, wax off

I wax all the glass on my car when I do a wax, then I hit it with a Rain-X like product, on top the wax.

I'm gonna try that next time (wax then RainX the glass... I hate it when water beads up on the glass!).

I should be doing this DIY soon too before I put my HID's in.
