Ah! Spotted Windows!
This could potentially be an emabarassingly stupid question, but...
A few weeks ago I noticed my rear windshield looking kind of 'spotted'. Nothing I could feel, just looked odd.
Today I was wearing a pair of polarized sunglasses and it was alot more apparent.
I did a few searches, and I couldn't find much. Is this just a factory tint getting old, or is there something in the glass I don't know about?

I did the same thing when I first got my sunglasses. I thought I had X-ray vision 
Then I saw the same spotting on really older cars. The spotting goes away at different angles and I just got used to it.

Not really the same thing, but I recently got a new PPG windshield in my MR2. The installers didn't clean it at all, it was disgusting on the inside.
Well, I pointed it into the sun and cleaned the inside and outside repeatedly with Windex. One thing I just couldn't do was get a few fingerprints off. Upon closer observation, they are not on the inside OR the outside. The prints are between the layers of laminated glass!!!
