Default SC300/400 Aero parts fitment feedback thread

In an effort to utilize the collective knowledge of CL members who have added aero parts to their car, it would benefit other members who are contemplating the purchase of parts to know some details up front.

If possible, please include the following info:

Car Year - Just in case there is some quirk about a certain year.
Part type - full kit, bumper, sideskirts, spoiler, roof spoiler, grille, lips, ...
Part make - the manufacturer of the part
Part construction - polyurethane, FRP, fiberglass, ...
Source - where did you get the part
Price - if available
Fitment - crash bar shaving, crash bar removal, bolts alignment, any quirks on how it lines up, smoothness of surface, prep work requirement, ...
Installation - any install tips?
Durability - how it holds up (driving mishaps, scrapes, bumps, ...)
Notes - anything else to add

Let me know if there is anything other useful info that I've left out.

Thanks.

Car Year - 1992 SC400
Part type - full kit (Front, Sides, Rear)
Part make - Veilside (model C1)
Part construction - fiberglass
Source - GTautosports(out of business) Veilside direct in Carson, CA
Price - $2,400
Fitment - No removal, no shaving, perfect bolt alignment, lines up perfect, glass smooth surface, almost no prep work needed. Primer, light wet sand and paint. It went on like OEM part straight from lexus.
Installation - follow factory installation procedures.
Durability - It's pretty weak.

Car Year - 1992 SC400
Part type - full kit (Front, Sides, Rear)
Part make - Kaminari
Part construction - fiberglass
Source - N/A
Price - $1200 (according to the previous owner)
Fitment - Good. I replaced front bumper because i cracked the lower lip in the front and it was great fit.
Installation - easy. 2 bolt holes were not drilled.
Durability - All the pieces are VERYy strong except for the lower lip which broke 3 times on the same spot so it seemed it was either because it was a flawed manufacturing or my car was twisted somehow.
NOTES: the rear should not be molded on. It will show stress cracks no matter how careful.

Car Year - 1992 SC400
Part type - Spoiler
Part make - Bomex
Part construction - fiberglass
Source - GTautosports(out of business)
Price - $200
Fitment - good
Installation - N/A
Durability - Hollow core, but durable.
NOTES: if you use the spoiler to close and open the trunk then you're going to get stress marks on the paint unless you used, flexi paint. You cannot open the trunk fully with the antenna up. It gets in the way. I learned the hard way.

Car Year - 1992 SC
Part type - Full kit featuring full rear bumper, side skirts, and front lip for '97 OEM bumper
Part make - Wald '97+
Part construction - Fiberglass
Source - Carson Toyota
Price - ~$1600
Fitment - Horrid. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...93&postcount=8
Installation - Get a pro with some bondo and fiberglass on hand.
Durability - Lasting very well, high quality construction as long as you don't hit anything. Front lip needs refinishing every 6 months due to stone chips.
Notes - Sucks a kit of this reputation and price doesn't fit. Looks nice, tho.

Car Year - sc400 92
Part type - carbon fiber Hood
Part make - cwing
Part construction - carbon fiber and fiberglass
Source - RaceonUSA
Price: $499 picked up during road trip
Fitment - 8 of 10. slight gap on passnger side correctable.
Installation - they got the hood strut bolt thread all wrong. Hood struts are useless now.
Durability - fragile as any fiberglass. This is 1 layer carbon with FRP backing. Only as stong as fiberglass.
Notes - You better get this poshed well and continue to keep it up. The resin will yellow if left unprotected.

Car Year - 1993 SC
Part type - Full kit (excluding front spoiler)
Part make - Demon Type D (knock off Do-luck)
Part construction - Fiberglass
Source - extremedimensions.com
Price - ~$600
Fitment - Sucky: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=133829
Installation - A bad bodyshop took 2 months to finish
Durability - happy with the durability, I had a small accident and the front bumper cracked near the headlight but it was fixed easily and I haven't had a problem since.
Notes - Could be a good deal if you know a good bodyshop.

Car Year - 95 SC300
Part type - 97+ rear spoiler
Part make - spoilerdepot.com
Part construction - fiberglass
Source - spoilerdepot.com
Price - $225
Fitment - Very good, OEM replica so it should be.
Installation - 2 screws required addtional drilling into the trunk lid beams to get at. Other than that installation was quick and easy.
Durability - Seems pretty sturdy but I don't plan on testing it.
Notes - It looks like a third hole was available for screwing but isn't used. I'd prefer 6 screws to 4 just to make it a bit more study. Paint matching was excellent and finish looks good.

Part type - Carbon Fiber Trunk, Carbon Fiber Hood, Carbon Fiber spoiler/ Vtex style kit
Part make - C-wings/VIS
Part construction - Carbon Fiber/Fiberglass
Source - Importfan.com/ visracing.vom

Fitment - Very good,
Installation - Carbong fiber on without a hitch...didnt like the mounting hardware. The kit is really nice in general. Standard fiberglass...no bubbles or pockets. Predrilled and came with mesh(:P). Alot of trim bcause more is better.
Durability - CF in general good.....awaiting the first curb check on the kit.

Car Year: 1995 SC400
Part Type: Full Kit
Part Make: T&E Vertex
Part Construction: FRP
Source: Carsontuned.com
Price: $2700
Fitment: Fitment was perfect aside from the front bumper. There are little gaps between the headlights and high beams, otherwise rest of the kit fit exactly.
Installation: Bodyshop did it.
Durability: Pretty freakin strong. I've hit those concrete parking blocks twice, which scared the crap out of me, came out, front bumper was fine, no cracks inside or out. Also ran over a rather high speedbump, thought my sideskirt was gone, checked it, sideskirt was fine, found out rather that one of the screws holding the sideskirts in the wheel well area broke off along with that metal portion.
