First off I love the body kits on most of the cars.. the Fender vent t looks awesome, the carbon fiber hood looks like a perfect fit...Good stuff....

My question is why would you spend $400 plus painting costs and pray that you match the cars existing paint color...when you only reduce your front end weight by 40 pounds with that swap...I thought about it but decided it was too much money for the 40lbs so I removed the spare tire and tools from the trunk instead..........Any other advantages besides the 40lbs weight loss in regards to the carbon fiber hood replacement that I am not aware of? Please share....... I would say if you want to drop weight start with those super heavy front lexus seats...People are droping over 100lbs and fitiing in nicer seats for arond that same amount of money... However interior color matching is the catch with that swap, very hard to match colors with after market seats... Don't get me wrong if I had a sweet deal on a CF hood I would go for it too..I hear they are not easy to install to a perfect fit, is it true? ..Looks good anyway, congrats.......

Oh and hi Cherplex how are you?

1997
Full kit
WALD
fiberglass
FITMENT- Gaps all over the place front to back. The side skirt didn't fit at all having the worlds biggest gap they had to refiberglass basically the whole sideskirt. Also, the kit came with a huge crack in the rear bumper which I didn't realize until it was to late. So, I guess that means durability isn't to great.
Note- Do not get this kit unless you know what you're going to get into. I am thinking about sending a large complaint letter to WALD even though it would probably do/mean nothing.

YEAH! haha. I read your thread thinking it didn't sound to bad or it shouldn't look as bad considering my car is black. I even talked to Tony about it and it didn't seem to bad on his car, but i'm thinking the body shop just did a really good job on his. My body shop on the other hand is trying to rip me off .

I struggled/thought long and hard btw the AC kit and WALD. I chose the Wald kit thinking I would end up saving some money, but I right now I'm paying the body shop up the you know what to try to get it right. Probably would have cost less overall to get the AC kit.

I still love the look of the WALD kit. So, maybe I can still be happy in the end...

Just imagine how badly a knock-off Wald would fit.
