That's the JIC Magic kit. In that pic he's got 20" Iforged wheels from his GS on. It's one of the one clean looking SC's with 20's around.

Proper offset is much easier with wheels that are made to order like those Iforged. Correct tire size will play a big part as well.

Here's the link to the OG thread. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ight=wheel+jic He gives a bunch of info on the set up.

The wheels are 20's front and back. Kit is JIC Magic. Suspension is JIC Coilovers and the car is dumped. Not sure exactly how low, but it's low. After doing 20's on my SC, I would recommend doing 19's. The problem with 20's is that if you lower the car like I did (a lot), then it will rub ABOVE the tire in the front fender due to the larger overal diameter (the SC has very shallow front fenders). That's where the real problem is as the main wiring harness is above the tire on the driver's side. Other than that, getting it to fit offset wise isn't too hard (especially when you can custom order them)...but you need to be very conservative unless you want to mod your fenders (8.5" +43 front and I'd say 10" +50 out back or 9.5" +45...this is for 20's. On 19's you can go more aggressive.) I was planning on modding my fenders all around (as I don't care about hacking up a 2nd hand used car) but I no longer own the car.

BTW, the wheels are iForged FLUX 2-piece brushed centers, high polished lip in that photo...

While there are advantages to do 20's in terms of adding extra ground clearance (which I REALLY needed with the JIC kit) and a lower appearance, 19's would make things a LOT easier.

Take a look at Jose's (CleanSC) SC...he's running 19's and the car looks amazing.

Hey Gazi, glad to see you're still around! No new coupe projects as of this moment but I'm waiting to hear back on a black '95 SC400 at my friend's tow yard...

If I do get this SC, it's going to get all the love my first one had plus a little extra lovin' from my friend's in a far away land...

What about you? Anything new??

Nice to see you, Manaray, and thank you for the info. I'll put it to good use.

My 93 SC400 was wrecked by a friend and the total damage estimated by my insurance company is $7200. My friend owns a body shop and has agreed to do it for $3500, leaving me with $3700 for upgrades!

Im going crazy right now.

Manaray, what is the $ range on IForged rims and what is best, 2 pc, or 1 piece forged?

you could spend about 3500 on rims and tires alone...

I am pretty sure that iForged only comes in 2 piece and 3 piece. With the new forging process you will get larger lips on the 3 piece fitment. If you want to purchase some you can pm D2Autosport and im sure he can give you a lot of info on them

I know huh!? I think its better to go with the more expensive wheels and rubber after doing much reading.

GS300Rich,

Thanks, man, I'll look into that.

Getting back to the SC, there are many ways you can go with your car. You need to sit down and figure out what your goals are. Do you want a nice looking ride? Better handling? More speed? The bottom line is EVERYTHING cost money and NOTHING is cheap if you want it done right. You just have to figure out how much you want to put into this car.

For me, I have no problem buying a $7000 used Lexus and dumping $13,000 into it. I don't look at "resale" value. I look at the value of the car to ME. Of course, if it was a beaten, broken down Lexus with tons of miles, I wouldn't dump money into it. I would rather find a nice, clean, low mileage Lexus and drive it stock than try to fix up some broken a$$ piece of cr@p.

Like I said, find your goals and plan out what you want to do. Otherwise, you'll be just throwing money away and not getting the results you want...
