Default Finally took the SC to the track

Hey Fellas,
I finally took the car out to the track yesterday (my first time to a legal racing event).
Didn’t do too bad for being a total newb.
@5psi on a PT52 and no fuel management, I ran a 14.130 @ 98.41MPH
I’m sure you’re all used to seeing much better times from Turboed SCs but I went for a complete street setup on a budget instead of all-out rework of the engine.
I installed an LSD about a week ago and I’m sure this helped a lot with traction.
This was done on some bald 275/40-17 Eagle F1 tires.

I’m officially addicted to drag racing and don’t you worry, it’ll be in the mid 13s by next time.
For yesterdays runs, the thing was full-weight + a bunch of trash in the trunk.
Next time everything useless is coming out, and maybe I’ll splash a gallon or 2 of 100 octane in the tank.

Wish me luck.

~Alan

Actually the traction wasn't all too bad. My best 60' time was a 2.122
I'll be passively looking for some ET Streets but my main focus will be on setting up the AEM EMS that was in my trunk the whole night yesterday.
With the EMS set-up I'll be upping the boost to 8-10psi.

Cheers,
~Alan

2.122 60'

Oh wait, RWD. Sorry, I'm used to my 1.8 60's being called slow by fellow DSMers.

Well I'm sorry my car is a heffa.
Full-weight with some **** in the trunk.
I wasn't going for fastest possible time...I wanted to see what the car does in the quarter on a daily basis.

This is my first time on a track so yes, I have some room for improvement, but once again, this is a very heavy, full-weight car.

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing your #s soon.

Thanks. The decent AFR is due to my discovery of the possibility of running the stock MAF in a blow-through setup.
Boost is awesome. I bought the SC300 before I knew it was pretty much a Supra so I thought I was giving up my turbo dreams, but now I have the best of both worlds.

I bought a carrier out of an auto TT and swapped it into my differential.
Still running the 4.27 gear but now with both wheels spinnin.
...and thanks!

No, I was at Sacramento Raceway

I'm hoping to have the AEM installed by the next time I head up in which case I'll be upping the boost a tad.

Awesome. With that trap, I'd say you're making 250 rwhp which is pretty good for a 60 trim on 5 psi.
