Replacing Rear View Mirror
Hello SC300/400ers@ClubLexus.
I'm a new owner of a 1994 SC 400. I love this auto and am trying to fix some cosmetic issues in the interior. The first port of call is the rear view mirror, whose LCD has a reasonable sized splotch on (in) it, which I presume means the LCD is somehow busted up.
I've just bought a replacement rear view mirror and was wondering what the best way to replace the current mirror would be. In particular:
- Should I replace the whole mirror? Or should i just try and swap the glass/LCD.
- If I replace the whole mirror how is it removed from the windshield?
- Is it easy to rewire the power cord between the rear view and the internal light/sunroof motor control?
Any advice would be very much appreciated (I've already tried one lexus forum to no avail),

Don't touch that screw. Just grab a firm hold of the mirror and pull down hard. It will break away. It's designed to do so in an accident. If any little little ***** go flying, try to see where they landed lol. The new mirror should have all three however.
