So I bought a set of OEM 15" rims from 1993 SC300, the 15 x 6.5" and 16 spokes style. I was hoping to use them with snow tires on my 1993 SC400. When I brought the rims to a local tire shop, I was told that the brakes on my SC400 are bigger and the 15" rims won't fit :-( I'm pretty sure the brakes on my SC400 are original. Now, should I find another tire shop or start looking for a set of 16" rims?

the brakes are bigger on the SC4's, but it should fit. someone else with those rims might be able to chime in.....

100% They will NOT fit...
Tried to swap my stock 15's with my homies 16' off his sc400.... we were both in the shop simultaneously and both the mechanics and myself tried to fit my sc300 rims on his sc400 and they absolutely DON"T clear the front calipers.

damn that sucks i know how you feel, my dad wanted to use my stock 16s from the sc400 to go onto his 97 ls400, didn't clear breaks either.

can you return them? I can sell you my set for cheaper =x.. Seriously. Just name the price. Mine have been used for 2 years total. Just name the price. As long as you come and pick them up.

I can probably return the rims, but I'll have to pay return shipping cost. So I'll probably have to sell them cheap locally, or even try to give them away. mrshabo, I will pm you regarding your set.
