Am I the only Aussie here? I'm based in Melbourne if there are any other Aussies that read this... If you want to cruise with other SC400's/Soarers and are based in Melbourne, drop by http://www.melbccr.com cos I cruise with them as does another Soarer guy.

Apart that I actually have a Soarer GT-L, It's exactly the same as the SC400... Currently running 340hp with minor mods.

My car has the stock body bit! no add-ons or anything... The only mods have been exhaust/intake. The pic with the mild skirts and 18" matte gold rims is Robert Haydens car. It's got the full works, full active suspension (It's got to be mad when you can flick a switch and the car drops or rises by 2 inches)... "No officer... my ride isnt too low!!" He owns the australian SC Lexus website. http://www.lexus.australia.as I beleive that the kit was a one off custom.

I've seen it in the flesh once at a Melbccr Supercruise meet... and trust me when I say this car looks heaps better than in the pics...

PS. My active suspension TEMS only adjusts ride quality... bounce/damper rates for cruise mode or sport mode. I cant raise or lower my car...

How's the exhaust.... check out and post on the ... "Exhaust horsepower/sound gain"... thread on this page or pg.2...

Also, did you ever find some used 18" or 19" wheels for your car?

The exhaust sounds very throaty with a deep tone. Not too abnoxious though. You can tell it's a V8 but it doesn't sound like a Camaro or Mustang....it ha s more exotic sound to it. VERY NICE!! There is not a significant power gain in the lower rpm band but at around 2700-2800 rpm, you feel a significant amount of power. I am guessing around 20hp with no cats and the exhaust. Maybe a little more. The intake give me around 7-10 hp depending on the weather. Its effects are also more noticable in the higher rpm's. It definately makes the car more enjoyable to drive & definately turns heads here in Alabama. Not too many import tuners (esp. Lexus tuners) here. I am going to California this summer & my big brother who had the Rod Millen White GS400 is giving me some AVS 18's for my car. I will post some pics soon....

bone stock since its the wifes baby.

I got too many projects going now to mess with the lexus, and it is such a nice car I hate to screw with it. Though maybe in a couple of years I could slip a turbo on and the wife would never notice....

What's up Marken....yeah it has been a long time. How's everything going at SRT and with the lady? Good I hope. What have you done so far to your car? I'm still planning to go up there and get the TC installed by you guys. Once I get my car lowered & get some decent wheels put on, I'll probably drive up there. What's up Chris! Are you still linving in Alabama? It's good to know that a fellow Auburn Tiger (like yourself) drives a Lexus. There aren't too many down here. Maybe you could sneek your wife's SC300 out & put a turbo on it without her knowing (haha). Good luck with your car & everything else WAR DAMN EAGLE!!!

By the way, I just hit 160k miles on my car & the baby still drives like she's brand spankin' new!! & I recommend getting Philips HID's on all SC's....the projector bulbs look great at night...definately attract a lot of attention....Good luck to you all!!
