Scott,

I invite you to try the most powerful feature on ClubLexus - the search tool. With it you can get an immediate answer to questions like you're asking here that have been asked many times before.

Go into 'advanced search'

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/search.php

Type in 'clear tail light' and point at the SC forum and you find lots of good stuff.

Maybe you can try it for side markers

Wow $1100, that’s alot! I like the lens replacement Idea!
Does any one have any pictures of what this looks like when done?
If yes, post them please, and any tips on the process would also be appreciated.

My suggestion is use a bar clamp with a round end on one, it helps when you are putting the silicone adhesive on the edges. That way you won't have to hold it while gluing and drying, and none on your hands too.

Here's my made up sidemarkers, hard to see. Only pic I have

These are great, but my 97 tails look different. Has anyone done this to 97 tails?

97 tails really cant be modified. The 95-96 tails can be cleared, like what you are looking for, and the 92-94 tails can be painted candy red (see https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...5&pagenumber=3 for a picture) If you ask me, the painted tails would look best on your car, you want some contrast in your colors.

But its your car If you change your mind about wanting my tails, email me at mteele@ufl,edu

the only thing i dont like about the 97 tail lights is the oddly colored square turn signal part that on the inside does any one know if you could pull them apart and just pull out that insert and leave it clear???
