Default Power seat not working properly. Please help

I just bought a 95 SC400 and immediately after I got it the bottom section of the drivers side seat will not tilt up or down. It seems that the front and back of the seat bottom (not the back of the seat, just the bottom section) can move up and down independantly of the front and rear. Maybe theres 2 motors, I dont know.
THe rest of the seat works perfectly.
Any suggestions of what I can do to troubleshoot and fix this?
Thanks

I also have a 95 with the same problem!

the < > work but not the up/down tilt of the bottom seat (not the back). It has worked a few times, but only for a for a split second, then the motor sounds like it's slowly going out. It will only adjust a very slight amount once every few days! so now the i have it close to where I want it, I'm happy, but it also seems like the seat could go down more (not talking about moving the seat back, away from firewall).

Any suggestions?

I have a 94 that the passanger side seak back would not move in any direction, I know some guys are gonna kill me for not taking pics, which I thought about when I was done..lol. It was my switch, I took it apart and found that the contacts in the switch had fallen out of their "saddle" I promptly replaced them and reassembled the switch. They fell out probably due to the switch "cap" .."poping" out of place, this I am sure was due to the previous "moronic" owner..trying to do mods w/o proper knowledge or skill.....they really did not take care of it....anyway.....

Your switches will engage the motor? The motor will only run for a sec or two? If this is true then it is probably not the switch but possibly a weak motor...................( My motor to teloscope the steering is doing the same thing.............I will be removing it and checking out the situation when I replace my steering wheel in a week or two.....I will be sure to get some pics and post what I find out...

I am very intersted to know what you find, if you find the problem before I do!

Good luck
