Default New Member - Looking to get an SC

Hey yall, just wanted to post and announce myself.

I am selling my Turbo Supra and looking to get an SC300 or SC400, and decided it would be good to come here and fill my brain with some info.

A little background info :

Cars :
1973 Dodge Challenger, 440ci
1987 Turbo Supra, Newly rebuilt engine, 60-1 upgraded turbo, 3'' exhaust, LX400 AFM, 550cc injectors , Walbro, much more.

Location : Live Oak, FLA

Occupation : Student

I was hoping to sell my supra for enough to buy an SC for around or under 5k, or trade. Ive always liked em and im going off to school so the supra's gotta go.

BTW Ive been looking on here and you guys have some NICE clean rides!

See Ya Around!

Travis, welcome to CL

Fisrt off, please remove that siggy, it is WAY over our guidelines which are 450 x 100 MAX size. if you need help just PM me, but remove that one asap. Also there are no classified advertising allowed so no FOR SALE ads either, pls remove. And lastly, your wanted to buy on the Sc. There are no WTB's allowed. I know it's a lot, that's why i am telling you now.

Second, i will recommend searching through the engines forum up there ^^ for some great toyota related engine mods.

The suspension section will help get you up to date on Daizens, Teins, and other more liked setups.

AND ABOVE ALL............ the most important thing .......... we have discussed everything at least twice, the search button is your friend

Enjoy your stay.

sorry if it came off as a wanted ad, not my intention, just saying what model Lex I was looking into getting, guess I should have worded it more carefully.

Sig Pic taken down until one can be resized.

I know all about the search button, same attitude towards it over @ the supra forums.

As far as drivetrain and suspension I dont I'll have too much of a problem with that, not much different from supes.

I had an 87 celica that i had swapped LONG before rice became popular and turbos became the thing with them, then the following of street racers and .... well you know where this leads us into today.

I LOVED that car. It was insanely too much power for it back then with the supra swap, today's rockets are triple the power and i couldn't imagine driving one.

Can't say toyota didn't take care of us in the amenities department. We had fully adjustable AC controls for each individual vent set such as hot up and cold down, or left side , right side. etc....... Power freaking everything! Just a great car all around, i'd love to have another one day just for kicks, but i am way too spoiled these days

As a college student, I'll tell you these car are not cheap to maintain, but if your mechanicly incline then that's a plus. But if you take it to the dealer then their hourly labor will rape you of your money. I have to work fulltime, and go to school partime to keep my car and it's worth it. My insurance is also very high due to my poor driving record.

But if you want the car, you'll definetely need to make some sacrifices.

Yeah , the supra is a pretty stout car, with the boost controller set at about 15 psi it should run an estimated 13.4, im guessing 380 rwhp. I just havent raised the boost yet. Still running 8psi (Boost controller not in yet)

A fellow on SF ran a similar combo (Upgraded turbo, lexus LS400 AFM, 550cc inj. , walbro fuel pump, STOCK IC, HKS metal HG, STOCK INTERNALS, boost controller set at 18psi and Dyno'd 420hp and 434 tq AT THE WHEELS.

They are amazing cars, And yeah, they were absolutely LOADED and before their time.
My Supe has TEN WAY POWER SEATING, climate control, individual vent adjusters, cruise, etc etc.

I went and drove a 96 SC300 at a dealer today, fell even more in love with them.

They are just sexy cars.
