Default Just got a SC400 need mods

I just got a 93 sc400 and I was wondering if there are any mods (header, intake, etc) I can do without doing major modifications like turbo kits or superchargers. I want to make it alittle faster.

Welcome! Please use "search" liberally! also, just as a personal favor to me (and other members I'm sure) do not attempt to put any Alteeza-type lights on this car, I'm begging you. Those things look horrible!!!!

Oh for sure not altezza lights. I have this name because I have currently own a 2001 is300 but recently I just bought a 93 sc400 because it was a good deal. I used the search function but it didn't work that well so that's why I posted this.

theres exhaust, BFI intake (go to planetsoarer.com ), theres always suspension (coilovers Do-Luck braces, YDR interior braces, strut tower bars, either Daizen sways or TRD supra sways, there is a torque converter, but thats about where the easy mods end.

Painting your calipers is a great start... cheap and looks fantastic. Be sure to clear coat them as well, the brake dust embeds itself in the paint if you dont.

Remember the stickers. They are the biggest power adders for the buck.

j/k

There is:

exhaust
electric fans
Precision Industries torque converter
some engine control (S-AFC,e-Manage,etc)
BFI (big friggin intake)
LSD swap for MKIV Supras (manual TT requires a half shaft)

Daizen adjustable front and rear sway bars
a variety of strut tower bars
Daizen bushings for control arms
Lowering springs or better yet coilovers
Supra TT brakes 12.6" (must have caliper clearance)

Lextech lighting by our very own O.L.T. (dash, console, and taillight mods)
you can swap 95-96 and 97+ body items
You can get custom leather seats
Wood steering wheel

and of coure the most important - maintenance
clean throttle body
plugs, wires, caps, rotors
replace negative battery
power steering pump rebuild
timing belt / water pump if needed

Just a starting list. You can also look at http://www.intellexual.net/faq.html

I wrote a guide on how to do the BFI, you can find it here;

http://www.toyotaimportsforum.co.uk/...&highlight=BFI

One of the best and cheapest mods you can do!
