Sun Visor - Ineffective side coverage
I have a 2000 SC 300.
When I move the sun visor to the side (passenger or driver) the sun visors do not provide effective side coverage. I checked the visors and they do NOT slide on their rail when the visor is turned to the side window as in some of the newer Lexus products. Does anyone have any recommendations or solutions for this?
Thanks,
Alan

Alan, all you can do is get metalized tint. Metalized tint blocks out more UV rays and heat than normal black or charcoal tint. Different places call it different things but I've heard it commonly referred to as "metalized tint." Either that or grow taller, which probably isn't an option. Tint and a decent pair of driving sunglasses and that should handle it. Next question...

Alan, were just playing with you! Tint is the best option, IMO. I believe there are some aftermarket sunshade extenders, but I haven't seen any that look very good. You may try to see if any from a new Lex would fit your car.

Sun Visors
I certainly appreciate the ideas....
Replacing the sun visors with newer products or tinting sounds like the most reasonable ideas. I haven't been able to find any after market stuff that would solve the side coverage problem.
I do think some of you need to find yourselves day jobs You clearly have way too much time on your hands!
