Question

Twankys, besides being true to your name, why did you elect to get 20 inch rims? From what I've seen and read 19's are the perfect size for the SC coupe. No rubbing issues as long as you get them in a reasonable width (up to 10.5 inches in the rear I believe), they fit the fender well almost perfectly, and tires are slightly cheaper (although less choices are out there for 19 inch tires). I just wanted to know why 20's were the wheel size of choice considering the considerable rubbing issues you may encounter.

thanks everyone for the input.....i plan on taking the spinners off some time this weekend and taking some photos then to..... and i never have turned my wheel real hard or did a u turn......i just try to avoid that i just take the time to switch between reverse and drive but ive only had them since wednesdday....and the guy said i would need to roll my fenders especially my rear so i plan on doing that this weekend as well as an alignment......and i decided to go with twentys cause that is the only size the spinner i wanted came in it was either 18 or 20 and i chose 20 cause i just like the flashier look.....hope i answeered your questions i was suprised to see all the feedback i got.........now i have some questions for you.....the guys also told me i would need a camber kit but i thought i wouldnt because it is only a one inch drop? anyone help me out on this one? he also said to get a laser alignment....how is that differecnt from a regular alignment?

thanks everyone

I dont think you will need a camber kit with that moderate lowering. The newer alignment machines have these "boards" that they attach to all of your wheels, then the alignment machine shoots a laser at each board to take a super accurate reading! its really fun to watch them do it. I think it costs like 80-120 bucks it is well worth it!

Red is one of my favorite SC colors. It just makes the already sexy SC even sexier.

I think your car would definitely look nicer if you slap on some 18 or 19 Moda 5 star wheels.
