Default thinking about new rims

Thinking about new rims. Maybe if I had asked for opinions about Zenetti, I would have never bought them 3 months ago. I really like the look of my rim though. One that looks similar is the Kaotic z5. What do you guys think of Kaotic? Anyone heard of any problems? Is this brand considered 2nd rate? If so, what are your suggestions? When making recommendations remember, I like chrome. May settle for high polish, for the right wheel.
This means the Zenetti's may be for sale. Not sure yet. Might keep them for a project car.

Hey Reggie, good luck on the new search bud! Kaotik are def considered a second rate brand, honestly I think the Zenetti's are a little better than Kaotiks quality wise. Maybe look into some Mille Miglias or those Moda R6 wheels, both are good quality, relatively cost effective, and carry a name of their own.

IMO quality wheels do not mean breaking the bank, its more of just investing in a company that has its own name and some sort of brand equity!!

Have fun man

Most definitely. Aftermarket all the way. And lip. And chrome. In size 19. And staggered(8f and 9.5r).
Please make your recommendations accordingly.

Thanks

Before settling for a second rate brand like Zenetti, read Nazty's first post here. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...hreadid=114147

He just cracked another Zenetti Vega. In the long run it will end up costing you more to own these wheels if you have to replace them regular. Just spring for some quality wheels and enjoy.

Hey I think a guy is/was selling some 19" chrome lowenhart BS-Ds in the classifieds for 1500 wheels alone. They were either 8fr and 9 or 9.5rr. They don't make these anymore but if u mess on up you can just take it apart and fix it.

His name is keiser, btw

Question

Is price a factor? I mean costs are alays a factor but are you on an under $1500 budget or under $3000 budget or what? If I knew what you could afford to spend I could narrow my suggestions accordingly. I too must have rims with a lip, they should be chrome but I can deal with a high polished rim if the style is right, and yes, they have to be aftermarket.

Hey Reggie, do you like the CCW wheels that streetking has on the black SC? I think they are sharp and they are about 2400-2500 wheels alone. maybe those are an option. I think they are 19x11 rear though. May have to contact them to see about 19x10

Default new rims

Here's what I'm considering:
On the high end
Maya five spoke
Maido five spoke (in the lead)
Several of the Lowenharts

Middle of the pack
Lorenzo
Carre
Axis

Low end
Nothing

Lorenzo is about equal or less than Zenetti. Carre is pretty cool I like some of their designs. I hate to say it since its old, but the Lowenhart BR-5 is one of my all time fav rims!!

Reggie, if you wanna just keep your wheels and buy me some BR-5s in 20x8.5 / 20x10 you go right ahead!!

what i hate now about the rim game is, just like anything else, it's become so popular and commercialized, that there's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many mfg's out there,. ...whereas back in the day, it was only a few,... and if it wasn't Enkei, BBS, Niche, Concept Neeper, Fittapaldi, MOMO, Antera, or Brabus,... ( and a few others ), it was then the lower grade like Prime, Panther, TSW, Elite, and a few others,... NOW, there's 50 million knock off of knock offs!!! I only bought the Zenetti's because I hadn't seen another company with that wheel design,... I love how the wheel looks,... never heard of them, hadn't heard good or bad,.. and just went with it.... ok... not too thrilled about that.

The reason I don't go all out on hi-end wheels is, just as my Zenetti's have gotten whooped, I have had homies with Blitz, and other comparable wheels get bent, broke, and it busted their pockets up pretty bad replacing whole sets when a series got discontinued. I know I could never roll factory,...but I refused to drop a G per wheel, especially for 18's..... my homeboy's SSR GT 3 piece wheel's spoke cracked on 3 of 5 and at least 2 were having issues on each wheel... not sure how that happened,... but he had to go back to factory cuz he couldn't afford to redo those....

jus' my 2 cents.... and 2 days away from the makeover....

I have some 18's with thick lips for sale if you are interested in your price range and in excellent shape. They are Halo design from NZO. Also no longer made. 99% tread life left on the hankook ventus plus, staggered 8.5f 9.5r. Polished lip and silver satin finish. Let me know if you are interested. I have a post in the wheels classifieds as well.
