Feasibility of using a Cusco / OBX Coolant Reservoir Tank in our cars....
If you'll search on "OBX coolant tank" on eBay you'll see these polished aluminum coolant tanks for sale. They are not a direct replacement for our tanks, since they lack a pressure-relief radiator cap, and there's no provision for the coolant level sensor (which would need to be bypassed).
Still, since they cost one fourth the price of a new Lexus coolant reservoir tank, I'm wondering if anyone has tried to use one of these, or has thoughts on their feasibility.

If I ever had to replace my coolant resevior, Id rather go to the junkyard and find a used piece. That is just too "racer boy" for me. Since you say it lacks the pressure-relief radiator cap, and there's no provision for the coolant level sensor, its just too much trouble to be worth it.
