Hi! I'm a brand new member -- just bought a '99 RX300 for my daughter to drive. I saw your post; I've been toying with the idea of replacing worn leather seat covers, probably the same situation you're having. I found a website called www.leatherseats.com that might be worth investigating. I haven't done anything about it yet, and I don't know anything about the place, but it sounds like a good idea. If you pursue it, please let all of us know, and I will do the same!
