Hello, maintenance questions
Today I picked up a 2011 RX350 with 44000kms, traded I'm my '05 RX.
Upon reviewing the owners manual it does not give a schedule for the diffs and transfer case; when are you changing the fluid?
I know the transmission is "lifetime" yet I will be changing it at 100000 kms.
I was also wondering if anyone has tried using the re-useable K&N cabin filter versus the paper/carbon filters, if so what has your experience been?
I look forward to hearing from you,
Chris

Chris, Congrats on the new-to-you RX. Both of these subjects have been discussed here a number of times. A quick search will reveal more.. Try these to get you started:
Tranmission Fluid Change from 5/9-11/2015
OEM/Aftermarket Cabin Filter, and THIS SEARCH (on cabin filter K&N) will provide a few more...
Good luck. Enjoy.

Chris - Just had our 52K mile '11RX trans. drained & filled w/5 qts. at Toyota for $184. Said they had to keep it several hours after the drain and fill to get it to the right temperature and run it with their computer hooked up to make sure everything is right. Never heard of this, but it's all included in the price, and I trust them. It seems to shift more smoothly.

Thank you Bert for the links in your post. I may have missed something but I did not see any suggestions for changing the fluid in diffs and transfer case.
Also quite a debate on cabin filters I guess I have more research to do. I do like the idea of a re-useable cabin filter to reduce waste in land fill sites.
Finally I've done a search on this forum and on the Internet and I was not able to locate any Cold Air Intake kits; all I'm able to find are K&n, afm pro dry reuseable air filters. Can anyone provide some insight?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
