While the display went back down below freezing and the air stopped working again on auto. Its back in the shop. The mechanic now tells me he had noticed spiced wiring on the sensor so I hope it just needs replacing.

Makes sense. AC will not run below 32F.

They soldered the wires for a better connection and it worked for a mile then went back to reading wrong. They feel I will need a new sensor. I think I located it in front of the rad. They said the connections in the sensor don't look in the best shape. Does anyone know the part number for the sensor on a 2013 rx350 base ?

Worst case, you can get yourself a 2-day pass to TIS for $15 and find the part number(s) yourself if need be. Good luck.

My car just blow ambient normal air (we called warm air???) with AC on (happened last week)? What are possible issues? Is it easy troubleshoot or I need to bring to dealer?

Brought it to Toyota dealer. They quoted me $2500 for replace the compressor. They also suggested bring it to Lexus to see what their price. Haizzz, feeling no good

If out of warranty I would confirm diagnosis at a good independent shop and get another quote if you actually need a compressor.

For comparison, I had the compressor replaced on a 2004 RX330 a 1.5 years ago for about $850 parts and labor, at an independent A/C repair shop in FL.

The labour is expensive for AC fixing - not the compressor itself. A lot to do to properly diagnose and fix the problem. Leak should be found and sealed or part (condenser most likely) replaced. On old car this job can cause coolant leaking (they move radiator).
The problem is - no real guarantee for this job. I had condenser replaced and system filled in once, but after s few months compressor started knocking and died... Quote was quite high (As I remember $500-600 for labour) and mechanic (good one) didn't guarantee results on long run.
Chosen to trade in old RX and buy new one...

I brought my car to Lexus dealer (Ira Lexus) in MA. They charged $450 for diagnosis (got charged $150 at Toyota dealer and they suggested bring to Lexus) and another $2100 after diagnosed for ac compressor replacement. I paid $450 and took the car home (so $600 just for diagnosis).
Properly my first and last Lexus.
