I'm happy to report I just swapped the standard H11 low beam halogen for a HID kit bought from xenondepot.com http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-HID-Ki...D-p/xt-h11.htm. The kit had too many components for me to start playing electrician, so I just took her to a car stereo shop. 30 min and $80 later the kit was in. The look is 100% like the factory HID, with 4,300k Phillips bulbs, the relays and ballasts nicely fitted, the works.

I've done this on cars before, so it didn't come as a surprise that the light is much more intense, but my wife (the main driver) was blown away. The difference is huge, I would say twice the output. And the color is so much better compared to the hepatitis-yellow of the halogens.

All in all was $160 for the kit + $80 installation = $240 for a much better night visibility and great aesthetics.

Yes, please post some pictures. I already swap out the Fog lights with the 3000K Xtreme Digital kits from KBCARSTUFF.COM. Looking to do the same for the headlights.
Did they have to cut the rear covers for the harnesses?

Just got my 2013 RX 350 and been thinking about doing that.
Would love to see some pictures as well.
Questions:
1. for after market installation like that, will it effect warrant?
2. how about the quality for those after market HID lights? I've had bad experiences before with HID light bulbs, have to buy a new set every winter when weather changes.
3. have you had a chance to compare the output with factory installed HID RX 350 side by side?

I checked the headlight setup on my wife's 2013 RX350 and there are no covers in the back so the installation will be very simple.

The kit should fit any car; you just have to check for the bulb type and pick the color.

1- Because the HID kits are always removal it would not but some dealers do not like HID kits based on bad experiences.
2- We've been selling quality HID kits since 2001 and many Club Lexus forum members can confirm the quality of our XenonDepot Xtreme and Volt HID kits.
3- If you go with 4300K which is what the factory HID lights use than the output would be very similar.

The 2012 RX uses H11 bulbs as well so yes it would work in your vehicle.

Toyota is actually pretty reasonable when it comes to aftermarket modifications while under the warranty period. Aftermarket parts do not void warranty. However, if there is a problem and you take it to a dealer and they find the cause of it to be an aftermarket part or mod, they won't cover it under warranty, and will charge you for the diagnosis and/or fix. If you have an issue under warranty and the cause is an OE part, they will fix it on their dime, regardless of whether or not you have aftermarket parts installed on the vehicle.

Digging up an old thread as I have a question.

Just picked up a 2013 RX350 with Halogen headlamps. I am considering getting one of your kits for this vehicle. The Phillps 4300k bulb.

I've had factory xenon headlamps before but not ones added to a halogen headlamp housing. I've been told the light out put is not as good factory xenon's but how bad can it be compared to stock halogen? Is it better than halogen but not as good as a stock xenon setup?

@whiteghost - Thank you for your interest.

As per your questions:

(1) The 2013 Lexus RX350 has factory projector halogen headlights. Factory projector headlights allow a slight amount of light to bleed upwards in order to illuminate overhead signs. However, if you pull up in front of a garage you will see that you still have a very sharp cut off -- which will be replicated when you install an HID kit.

(2) I don't have very good comparison pictures that are RX specific, but take a look at these comparison pictures between stock, 4300k hid, 5000k hid, and LED in a 2015 Toyota Highlander with stock halogen projectors:

i am running the xenon depot kit in the fogs for the rx350 f sport- i also adjusted the main lamp to aim higher because the factory seems like pointing to much down and not really ahead. Pretty impressed with results

i had LED lamps (nice ones they were about 120i think) in the LX570 they were really bright but in terms of usable light the HID is still the better option as long you go with quality HIDs from for example xenon depot.
The Leds are far easier to install though and look more blueish. In the end i wanted more of function then looks.
