Default Extended CPO Warranty?

Just bought a 2013 CPO in SoCal.
2013 RX 350 MSRP @ $48k with 29k miles bought for $34.5k. (All new tires and break pads).
Financing rate 2.9% for 60 months.
Now, they are offering me with 1.9% APR for 60 months if i purchase extended CPO warranty from them for $2,600. (standard CPO comes with 3 year or 100k miles warranty).
Should I go for the ext warrant? (It's going to save me $700 from interest with 1.9 vs 2.9 which means ext warrant cost would be $1.9k for 3 extra years of peace of mind)
Thanks.

Plan on keeping the car ?
Warranties are written like insurance policies. They're banking you'll never use it. You're banking that you will.
I bought an extended plan while purchasing our '10. It was 2 years old with 25K km or about 15K miles.
I was new to the brand & not sure what I was into. Still quite happy.
Just left Honda at the time after 28 years. Only help they offered after a major failure was a one fingered wave.
The Lexus/Toyota brands have excellent reviews but, like anything else, there may be issues at times.

Bryan - It's a crap shoot. On one hand, Lexus RX350 is the most reliable car on the road, per Consumer Reports. On the other hand, it sounds like you like peace of mind, so having said that, and you are asking what to do, I recommend buying the extended warranty.
BTW, we bought an '11 RX in 2013 and have spent $72 on it so far in maintenance (excluding tires). No warranty issues. Knocking on wood.

Thanks, that was plan but at the same time afraid they would actually let me back out since the car i got was much lower than others in the area. Since i'm returning my current lease this week and really dont want to take the risk, might just pay a little bit more upfront and keep the same interest rate so less interest exp overall.
But key concern is also if the ext warranty is worth $2k or not, i know RX is reliable but not sure what kinda repairi would expect or common for 2013 RX.
Thanks.

They wont. You can always say Yes, I decided to buy agter all! Trust me, this is just stupid, holding you hostage for a addon! Fccu first community credit union, has 2% apr

To some it's worth, to some its not. I would never buy an extended warranty!
