Thinking to buy an RX350
Hi all,
I am thinking to buy an RX350 (prob. 2010). Is there a particular year model better than other? Budget is between 20K and 25K. Is there any problem with RX350 I should know about? If so what year should I be avoiding?
Also with that budget it'll have be either close to or over 100K miles. Is there anything with this high mileage?
Thanks in advance

Visualize a low mileage 2010 RX in your favorite color at your price point and it will come to you.
The only problem we have with our '11RX is that we love it.

'10 RX here. 75k on the ODO. Chalk me up as another lover. IMO the third gen was such an awesome step forward. I had a 1st gen, and 2nd gen felt too similar.
In your price range you should find a number of them with well under 100k.
Visual differences between '10 and 11-12 is "Lexus" on rear is deleted and POA is moved to under dash from the storage bin, sunglasses holder gone and SOS button in its place.....I'm guessing there are others, just not sure....

Thanks you all for responding....Great to hear...
We're expecting a second child , so trying to upgrade to a bigger car. Never own a van or suv before....narrowed down to either Sienna or RX350....still can't decide which route to go. Like the convenience of the van, but don't like the look and feel of it..:~)...
Any words of wisdom???

I've never been a van/truck or even an SUV driver. IMHO, like driving a "box on wheels". The wife wanted an SUV style vehicle so we test drove a few and the RX was by far the most comfortable and handled the closest to a car. Plus we keep our vehicles long term (RX replaced a 14yr old Altima) so we wanted a brand that will last, hence Lexus(Toyota) as our choice.
I'm extremely biased when it comes to the big American three. Had some of those in the past and never again! Head gaskets, heater cores, even an exploded piston rod.... Really! That stuff should not fail for the life of the car. Never had any of those types of problems with my Nissan's. Hopefully that'll be true with the Lexus. Just my opinion...
Good luck!

The '15 Sienna has undergone a noticeable mid-cycle refresh and is much improved. More refined redesigned interior with a stiffer chassis and more sound deadening. It's arguably the best minivan in the market today besting the Odyssey and new Sedona. http://www.caranddriver.com/comparis...limited-page-4
This aside, minivans are not for me, and I've owned three RX's for a reason, two pre-owned, one latest one new with my growing family. Never a space issue for family trips so unless you have a third child planned or haul lots of gear daily, no need for the minivan.

Bought a loaner 2010 when it was 10 months old -- have had no problems other than rear leaky shock which was a warranty fix. FYI we had a '99 for 9 years - so happy with it we bought a '10 - RX is the way to go. All other mfg'ers try to come out with something equal but can't quite get there
