Trading in my 2015 CT200h for 2010 RX450h
Hey everyone, Im possibly looking to trading in my 2015 CT200h for 2010 RX450h for more space, we are having a baby. Any comments, suggestions, things to look for? The 2010 RX450h currently has about 73k miles. What do you guys think?

You are definitely moving back in time. You will get the space advantage but check out the bells and whistles you will not get. Reverse guide lines, blind spot monitoring etc.
Front grill design like/dislike varies from person to person. That was my major factor in selecting 2011 RX450H.
Do look into advantages and disadvantages of 450H vs 350. Fuel economy will be better in 450H only when you are mostly driving in stop and go traffic. There are other differences in ride quality and feel.
Do check out the history. In used vehicle the brand/model have less weightage than the care and use.

Go the to the Lexus Drivers Site link and join for free, then enter the VIN of the vehicle you are interested in to see its dealer service history and its options. https://www.lexus.com/drivers/account/create-account
You can do this for any Lexus and Toyota has a similar site in case you also look at a Toyota Highlander Hybrid. You may be able to find a newer better Highlander for a similar price. They are mechanical twins and the Highlander actually has some features lacking in the RX. The Limited model is the top one and very well equipped. Reliability is the same. https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-veh...ervice-history
You do lose a lot of modern features by going to a 12 year old vehicle. The RX had a refresh in 2013 and those models are more desireable.

Maintenance is about the same if you avoid the dealer and find a great independent hybrid shop or foreign car shop. If you have to go to the dealer a Toyota dealer can and will work on a Lexus, it is all the same under the sheet metal. I like the Highlander dash design better than the RX's and it is a bit larger. The Toyota Sienna (I have one) is also the same mechanically and has a HUGE amount of room (and a rear seat TV screen for the kids, with wireless headphones and a dvd player in front) but there are no hybrid models until the 2023 redesign.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and advice. I went ahead with a 2011 RX350 with 57,000 miles. I took it to a Lexus dealer ASAP for an inspection and it was in great condition.
