Default Body Side Moulding's....worth it?

Wife wants them on but now she's undecided because of the aesthetics....looking for opinions.

She's concerned about dings on the door but dings on the door vs dings in this strip I don't see benefit. Any real world experiences?

Also, thinking of buying mud guards and installing them myself...what skill level is needed for this task. Worth doing this on my own or running it through the dealer?

Thanks.

Default Same color as the car?

I've been thinking about adding them too - only I wonder how the silver or black would look instead of matching the color on my Nebula Gray Pearl.

It really depends on how much care you're able to take parking. At 62,000 miles with no body side molding, the only blems on Watson is a couple of small rock dings up front. But I'm retired and keep my cars garaged when I'm not in them or driving somewhere. I realize some are not able to take the same care and must park in the street. But I'm not bashful about walking a small distance in a parking lot to give the cars more protection.

bmaez, there are multiple threads on the side molding, this being a more recent one. Here is another one on its value (subjective, of course). I'd suggest you do a search for others.
