Default Display Audio Brightness fading in & out

I have the Non-Nav with just Display Audio. I have noticed that the display tends to fade in & out. Even at night when the lights are on- I keep the dash on the bright side- the DA/radio info fades. It's still legible but wondering is there a way to fix this? I couldn't find anything in the manual about adjusting the brightness.
Thanks

I have Nav, so can't physically confirm this, but if you are asking about your 2014, I found the info on pg333 of your manual. You can change both brightness and contrast for either your display or the camera interestingly enough.... That's more options that I have with Nav on my 2013! To get there, hit the Menu button, then Display and you'll see the two options at the bottom of the screen.

Bert,
Thanks for the info- must've overlooked that in my 800 plus page manual!. I will see if going to the screen to set the brightness will stop it from dimming. thanks again...

Are you saying you do not want the display to dim when the headlights are on? If you change the brightness setting when the headlights are switched on, it will remember that setting the next time the headlights are on. If you have the headlights switched off, you will only be adjusting the brightness for when the headlights are off.

The display dims and brightens on it's own when the headlights are on. This morning I went to the display and upped the brightness 1 notch. I will see if resetting solves the issue. Normally I leave for work in the dark and my headlights are set to auto. They are on but the display dims on its own. That is when it is most noticeable since it is dark outside & it catches my attention.
