I'm not going to say I don't ever push it. I always stay within the legal limits, but do have some fun with it. While it's not the sporty handler that my IS is, I do think it handles better than its soft/cushy reputation implies.

I think the only thing spirited I do while in this car is flooring it when the light turns green once in a blue moon. cornering on ramps and turning in general is rather disappointing, even with the brand new rubber I got on it.

I drove my wifes RX350 today i switched it over to manual mode. I used the padle shifts i tried driving it like i do my IS 350. I thought it was going to be funner. Its definitely a family wagon. Didnt accelerate like i thought it would. It handled pretty good has all wheel drive. At the end i remembered its my wifes and thats the vehicle she drives my children around in so im glad its not a rocket.

Depends which version it is. Last time I was in the states I drove a regular RX350. It felt front heavy. Then before buying my car I test drove both regular RX450h and RX450h F Sport.

The RX450h F Sport feels the most balanced out of the lot. May be to do with better weight distribution. I also noticed the tyres on the european RX's are the Dunlop SP Sport 270 which are in fact dreadful for fuel economy but stick to the ground like glue. The tyres in the states seem to be more suited towards touring on the RX than grip and I think that may affect the behaviour of the car in turns

I drive only in straight lines, so I don't feel I've done spirited driving. I think the 2010-2012 450h is a dog off the line compared to the 350 loaners I've driven. A 350 will throw you against the seat.

I have not hit the shut down limit of 112-118 whatever it is on the H. 100 yes.

State highway 130 in Texas has a speed limit of 85 and loaded with luggage and four adults an H is very smooth at 90. On a normal interstate the H has a sweet spot at 80 for smoothness and road noise.

Driving in excess of the limit is not recommended. Police have advised me of this a few times, much to the distain of my insurance company. Drive safe, drive smart and drive below the limit for the best gas mileage.

You must be doing something wrong if you think the RX450h is a dog off the line
Pop into Sport mode and you'll have faster cars thinking "WTF" up to 40mph

I enjoyed the near-flat cornering and paddle shifters of the F Sport - yeah I had fun once in a while in the twisties.

Sometimes i do that, even though RX isnt meant for such purposes but we all do have fun now and then and my 2010 awd handles very well for its size and mass on the road i must say, even when i go over the legal limits, last night was surprised to do better donuts than g37 and s6 audi at the parking lot, something i would never expect from an SUV like RX with only 270hp and heavy body.
