Have to say so far I am loving the 19's. The ride seems very smooth and a slightly different feel to the RX then my other ones that had 18's So far no complaints about the Dunlops.

OK, they were all leased,

1999 RX300 Black with gold lettering - my favorite one got it in April 1998 loved being one of the first

2000 RX300 White (dealer wanted my car and leased for the same payment)

2003 RX300 Black

2005 RX330? Silver

2008 RX350 Black

2010 RX350 White

2012 RX350 Stargazer Black (first one with NAV)

2015 RX350 Silver Lining Metallic with NAV. Calling this one Henry as in Henry VIII

Payments have remained within $20 of each other since the 1999 with all taxes rolled in and nothing down.

WOW!

Never owned a Gen 1 but I remember how special that was when I rode in one back then when luxury smooth and quiet SUVs were non-existent (save for the MB M-class). The one I rode in also had the "24k Gold-dipped emblems" popular back then

A little off topic, but my personal favorite was my first '04 RX 330 with the Sport Package that came with the swivel HID lights (AFS) and the sweet height adjustable air suspension. What is your favorite RX?

Well I have to say my favorite one was the 1999. There was nothing like it on the road and it had that big blue screen in the dashboard. I just felt cool driving around in it. I was actually thinking I was going to get an NX this time to recapture that feeling, but it was going to be about $25 to $30 more per month because of the interest rate in the lease and no rebates available.

My second favorite was the 2012 because of the NAV, but most importantly the swiveling headlights along with the automatic brights. Unfortunately I don't have that on the 2015, but I do have the BSM and 19" wheels!

That's a lot of RXs, Marqevans! I agree with you on the '99. It just exuded luxury when most other SUVs were utilitarian. My '04 with the performance package like corrado had was more on the sporty side but still had all the creature comforts and more. With the 3rd gen I feel like Lexus made a departure in style. No more round brake lights. It was such a unique feature to the RX. But it only got better with even more features and options than before. Who knows, maybe your '15 will become your new favorite

Continuing off topic I can't help but comment that I agree the 1st gen RX was special at the time. It was the most comfortable and quiet vehicle I ever owned up til then.. The dealer actually had a special route to take on for a test drive over bumpy roads and a set RR tracks! I had never experienced such a great ride before. It was an easy sell.

The blue screen however bothered me. As a computer person It just reminded me of the Microsoft blue screen of death when your computer crashed. I even asked the dealer if it was possible to change the color. It wasn't of course.

Anyway can't wait for the 4RX

My dealer wouldn't change out the Dunlops on the 2015 I bought in December. They said the other ~40 RXes on the lot all had Dunlops and if I want them to change them they could order tires and charge me full price. No thanks.

However I haven't found them as bad as some make out here. I always had Michelins on my previous cars and really the Dunlops aren't bad. I haven't driven a 19" RX with Michelins to compare, but the Dunlops are fine for me for now.

I have to agree with you, so far no problem with the Dunlops. However I only have 500 miles on them and it has been well below freezing the whole time. Don't know if it will be any different when the weather warms up.
