Should the garage door opener buttons (1 through 3) light up at night with the headlights, etc. on...? I'm thinking they should and I'm missing a "turn on" somewhere. They are very hard to see in the dark.

Mine do. They are not very bright but the do let you know that you pressed them.

No, there are many threads dating way back about this. After a few years they added lights. There is a 'dim' led light shining down you can use your hands to reflect the light and with good night vision you can see the button. But let's not re-hash something that old, it is what it is. Best advice I can offer is find exactly where the button is in the daylight and memorize the spot by feel with your hands.

Program the center button for your door and when you reach up the light reflecting off your hand will illuminate the button ... very easy fix.
